taking photos from this or any other site to use on facebook

Ignoring copyright notices has become too common and people will plead ignorance or think it doesn;t matter because lots of people do it.I even know people who I like who are basically good people who think its okay.
Here is what facebook have to say about it;
Intellectual Property

'Facebook is committed to helping people and organizations protect their intellectual property rights. The Facebook Statement of Rights and Responsibilities does not allow posting content that violates someone else’s intellectual property rights, including copyright and trademark.

Copyright is a legal right that seeks to protect original works of authorship (ex: books, music, film, art). Generally, copyright protects original expression such as words or images. It does not protect facts and ideas, although it may protect the original words or images used to describe an idea. Copyright also doesn’t protect things like names, titles and slogans; however, another legal right called a trademark might protect those. Learn more about reporting copyright violations.'

It's possible to have taken down someones page or profile image if it has been copied or screenshotted, by complaining to facebook as they would be hosting an illegal act.I would rather try educate people first.So if youhave oneof my watermarked photos on your facebook page then please remove it.

A photographer creates an image by finding a good angle,composition and sets the camera to use the light to create an image.It may involve hanging around in a chosen spot waiting for the moment.Sometimes that spot involves staning in mud or kneeling in the wet grass.Group shots are frustrating because having worked to gather people together often missing other possible shots,then just before shooting a host of others come and stand in front of you and take your shot on their phones.It's frustrating when someone takes your work.Please don't be one of them.
